Here at Northumbrian Water Group, we have an exciting opportunity for a Surveyor to join our growing Estates team.
The Surveyor will provide professional advice and delivery support on all land and property matters across Northumbrian Water’s appointed and non-appointed estates and capital works projects.
They will manage their own caseload of capital works jobs, land rights, access, compensation, and valuation matters, ensuring our statutory obligations are met and that projects are delivered efficiently and compliantly.
Working with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Surveyor ensures land transactions and negotiations deliver value, protect NWG’s interests, and support long-term asset management objectives.
You will be a Chartered or Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), with experience in land acquisition, access negotiations, compensation settlements, and property transactions.
It would be beneficial to have an understanding of the Water Industry Act 1991, Compulsory Purchase Law, and Agricultural Property Law. You will be competent in valuation principles and compensation assessment and you can liaise effectively with landowners, agents, surveyors, and legal advisors.
