As a member of the Aviation Powerplant team, the AVP will manage all technical aspects of a subset of Castlelake portfolio commercial aircraft and engines, both on and off lease.
Manage engine lease return inspections/audits, storage and transition maintenance.
Support the engine aspect of aircraft purchases and transitions as required.
Review and approve work scopes for reimbursable claim events with lessees.
Review subsequent maintenance reserve claims to ensure compliance with lease provisions.
Manage Castlelake’s own engine repairs including work scopes, vendor selection and monitoring.
Review and assist with negotiation of lease agreements, purchase/sale agreements and LOIs to ensure engine technical risks are properly managed.
Ad hoc projectsas assigned.
Undergraduate degree preferred, and/or FAA A&P license or equivalent.
A minimum of five years of experience working at an engine OEM, airline, engine consultancy, engine leasing company, or in a powerplant role at an aircraft leasing company.
Experience reviewing and understanding the technical provisions of aircraft and engine lease and purchase agreements.
The ability to multi-task, providing coverage to several concurrent projects utilizing external resources are required.
Strong Microsoft 365 skills
Team player and flexible; The ability to travel internationally up to 25%.
