About the Role

We are seeking an experienced C&I and DCS Engineer to join our client's team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of power plant and technology on advanced power stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure that work targets and objectives are satisfactorily completed, and all work is completed across the main KPI's (safety, time, cost, quality, technical performance, and compliance)
  • Deliver projects and outages, working closely with Asset Operations, Asset Management, and OEM's to ensure process compliance, CDM compliance, and the highest standard of HSSE and Quality performance
  • Technical design and delivery of low to high risk technical improvement projects
Requirements
  • Applied experience of power plant control and protection systems, fault finding, maintenance, and risk management
  • Knowledge of DCS architecture
  • Knowledge and experience with plant instrumentation troubleshooting, calibration, and replacement
  • A sound understanding of Power Station operations, knowledge of current regulations and policy affecting the management and operations of power plant engineering assets
  • Contract Management skills and experience to challenge contractors on methods, quality, and standards of work
  • Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships within the team, across functions, and with stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skills, including effective prioritisation and resource management
  • A good working knowledge of health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards to IOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent
  • A sound technical knowledge of engineering and maintenance practices gained through experience
  • A broad knowledge and experience of maintenance activities in an engineering skill spanning more than one plant area
  • Ability to challenge to ensure projects are suitably defined and agreed to optimise business value
  • Contract and project management skills to run several contracts within a project, involving on/off site working, health, safety, and environmental aspects, commercial, and technical issues
  • Full driving licence with flexibility to travel to UK Sites as and when required
