About The Role The Payments platform is the backbone of not just our product but our company. Our payment solutions cover card transactions, wallet top ups, invoice payments, reimbursements, and more. Our goal is straightforward: to create payment experiences that customers love. Every transaction matters, and we’re here to make them seamless, reliable, and impactful. We're looking for a Group Product Manager to lead the evolution of our Payments platform at Pleo. In this role, you’ll own the strategy and outcomes for a portfolio of payment domains and teams, helping us deliver solutions that are resilient, compliant, and delightful for customers at scale. What you’ll be doing As Group Product Manager, you will: Set the vision and strategy Define and communicate the long-term vision and strategy for Pleo’s Payments platform Make explicit, well-reasoned strategic choices about where to invest, where to consolidate, and where to say “no” Drive impact across multiple teams Define and track KPIs to measure success, keeping your teams aligned with the company’s goals Solve complex problems Tackle highly complex technical and business problems, considering a broad set of factors including risk, compliance, partner constraints, systems architecture, and customer experience Collaborate deeply across Pleo Partner with Engineering Managers and other stakeholders within Pleo to ensure smooth delivery and continuous improvement Work with stakeholders across Pleo (e.g. Spend Management, Cash Management, Onboarding) to ensure our Payments platform is a reliable foundation for new customer experiences and market launches What you bring You’ll thrive in this role if you have: Have deep experience in the European financial services sector, particularly in account to account payments, e-money accounts and financial ledgers space Communicate with clarity and purpose, inspiring teams and aligning stakeholders Are comfortable rolling up your sleeves and working through technical and payment challenges with the team's engineers Balance big-picture strategy with the ability to zoom in on day-to-day details Rely on data and customer feedback to guide decisions and prioritise effectively Being able to go into the details of API design, payment messages or whatever is required Are passionate about developing people and creating an inclusive, collaborative team environment Enjoy working in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment where challenges are opportunities Drive to stay hands-on as an individual contributor, actively shaping solutions and leading by example Who you’ll be working with and reporting to You’ll report directly to our Product Director and work closely with the other teams in Payments. You’ll also partner with teams across Pleo to deliver lots of exciting new products and features for our customers. How you’ll develop in this role In your first 3-6 months, you’ll: Map and validate the end-to-end customer journey and system flows for all payment products at Pleo Define and align the product strategy for your team Deliver and refine your roadmap continuously Work closely with engineers to continue optimising ways of working As you grow, you’ll have the chance to: Scale your impact across other teams in Payments Build and mentor other product managers within Payments or Pleo Play a key role in shaping Payments group strategy and how Payments contribute to the company growth target The Package The annual salary for this position varies based on your location: United Kingdom: £105,500 - £116,500 Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands: €120,500 - €133,500 Spain, Portugal: €109,500 - €121,500 The role can be based in any of the locations where we have a legal entity, including: Denmark, Sweden, Spain, Portugal, the UK & the Netherlands. We can hire either remotely, hybrid or in office but you need to be physically based in any of those countries (even if working remotely).
