About the position: We are looking for a creative, passionate, and experienced Product Leader to join our Backstage Product Area in Spotify.

Our mission at Backstage is to unleash creativity and innovation for developers in the age of AI, while creating delightful experiences. Through the last couple of years, Backstage has enabled thousands of organizations, including fortune 100 companies, to shift and transform their engineering culture, creating centralized software catalog, standards and accelerate AI adoption and effectiveness with our different offerings: Open source, plugins and SaaS products.

Guide product managers, coordinate our SaaS product, work in an agile startup environment, and aid product expansion.

What You'll Do
  • Guide the improvement of our key product user experience with mixed teams.
  • Manage a team of product managers, mentor, guide and scale the team impact.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy and vision for the product, aligning with the overall business goals.
  • Lead the creation and execution of the product roadmap, ensuring that it aligns with the strategic vision and addresses customer needs.
  • Prioritize features and make data-driven decisions based on market research, user feedback, and performance metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with partners, including executives, cross-functional teams, and customers, to ensure alignment and consensus.
  • Engage closely, and create processes for the team to collaborate successfully with cross-functional teams like sales, marketing, design, user-research and insights 
Who You Are
  • You have significant experience in building and shipping customer-facing software products together with teams of designers, engineers and data scientists.
  • You have 10+ years of experience in product management roles
  • You have experience of being a group product manager of a SaaS B2B product
  • You have shown experience in scaling product portfolio, serving hundreds of customers
  • You are passionate about developer experience and have a deep understanding of the developer journey, jobs to be done for a developer or DevOps/Infra teams.
  • You have deep experience in making hard data-informed decisions (A/B experimentation, customer feedback, user testing, data analysis, competitors and market analysis, defining metrics)
  • You are excited about working in a new, fast-paced and innovative space and are passionate about the opportunity to make developers tasks delightful and efficient.
  • You're a compelling storyteller who can communicate in succinct and inspiring ways to a variety of audience types
  • You apply systems thinking and analytical expertise to develop product strategies
  • You are comfortable working with distributed teams across multiple offices and timezones
  • Background in platform engineering
  • Background and experience as a developer 
Where You'll Be
  • This role is based in Stockholm, Sweden or London, United Kingdom.
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best You should expect some level of requisite amount of in-person engagements with a hybrid working approach.
