Our client is looking for an experienced hydraulics project engineer to join an international engineering team, working within their Bradford-based headquarters.

Qualifications:
  1. Degree qualified , preferably hydraulic/mechanical engineering or equivalent
  2. Chartered/Incorporated Accreditation or actively working towards
  3. HND/HNC/NVQL3 with experience will be considered
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Provide project management support.
  2. Responsible for overseeing tenders, offers, design and engineering.
  3. Provide engineering/technical support for offshore crane, troubleshooting, repairs, refurbishment, upgrades, operation and maintenance.
  4. Provide engineering support for Hydraulic (and mechanical) equipment including spare parts sourcing, upgrades, refurbishment plans and equipment hire activities.
  5. Engineering design related to offshore crane and hydraulic interface projects.
  6. Preparation of workpacks and other documentation.
  7. Project management activities including all technical and commercial aspects of projects.
  8. Undertake offshore and onshore surveys and project workscopes.
  9. Familiarisation with client’s and companies HSEQ policies and procedures.
  10. Familiarisation with client’s and company Safety policy and the Safety Management System.
  11. To identify safe and environmentally sound methods of work and systems which identify hazards at each place of work.
  12. Be familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, guidance notes and good industry practice.
  13. Plan, organise and document client work processes to deliver the required standard with minimum risk to personnel, plant, materials and the environment.
  14. Give company personnel and subcontractors precise instruction in order to implement safe methods of work and pre-defined communication lines between client and company.
Necessary experience:
  1. Knowledge and experience on proportional control open and closed loop systems
  2. Competence Based Hydraulics Qualification or equivalent
  3. BOSIET & MIST
  4. Strong organisational skills
  5. Good communication skills
  6. Capable of working without supervision
  7. Have a methodical and dynamic approach
  8. Good understanding of HSEQ requirements offshore
  9. Sound IT skills, MS project, excel, word etc

This is an office based role in Bradford with 60-100 days per year of international travel possible.
