Connecting communities By sharing TeenTalk’s stories and updates, you’ll make it easier for families, volunteers, and supporters to engage with us—fostering belonging and encouraging participation.
Attracting support A vibrant digital presence can spark interest from potential funders, partners, and volunteers. Strengthening safeguarding awareness By embedding accessible, inclusive, and safe messaging into our online communications, you’ll help reinforce TeenTalk’s commitment to safeguarding and positive youth engagement.
Growing our reach Through engaging stories and dynamic content, you’ll increase visibility across social platforms—amplifying our mission and helping more young people discover the support TeenTalk offers.
Ultimately, your creativity and consistency will sustain and grow the heartbeat of TeenTalk’s digital community. This role is not just about posting content—it’s about building trust, belonging, and momentum. You will help create an online space where young people feel seen, families stay connected, and supporters remain inspired to contribute.
Social Media Management
Familiarity with Facebook and Instagram, including tools like Meta Business Suite or Creator Studio for planning and analysing posts.
Content Creation
Campaign Planning
Experience in developing and implementing content calendars, tracking engagement metrics, and evolving strategy based on performance.
Digital Safeguarding & Accessibility
Understanding how to communicate sensitively and inclusively—especially in youth work settings. Awareness of safeguarding guidelines and GDPR principles online.
Personal Qualities
Passionate about youth empowerment and committed to making online spaces safe and welcoming for all. Keeps up with social media trends and enjoys trying new formats (e.g., Not afraid to ask questions or suggest creative approaches.
Deeply values community connection, wellbeing, and inclusivity. We don’t expect perfection—just someone who’s keen to learn, share ideas, and commit to creating online content that reflects the warmth and trust at the heart of TeenTalk.
TeenTalk is seeking a volunteer Social Media Lead to strengthen our digital presence and share the impact of our work with young people and families.
You will manage and develop our social media activity, creating engaging content that highlights community events, milestones, and young people’s voices. Produce creative assets such as graphics and templates for campaigns
Increase engagement and follower growth on Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms you recommend
Showcase young people’s achievements and promote TeenTalk’s values positively and consistently
We are flexible in how the role is shaped. You may choose to focus on one platform, support specific campaigns, or help train team members. Your input on tone, scheduling tools, and trends will be valued, and you’ll be supported by a collaborative team that celebrates creative contributions.
This role is more than posting updates it is about building a trusted and hopeful online space where young people feel seen, families stay connected, and funders and volunteers remain engaged.
