An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Adult Social Care Inspection Lead (ASC Inspection Lead). In this role you will provide authoritative and recommended advice on a specialist area for the council and / or partners to ensure proper compliance. Advice and support to teams/service/partners on a range of topics in order to further the achievement of the council’s visions, goals and core values.
This post is part of a team that sits within the overarching Performance, Outcomes & Quality Assurance Service in the People Directorate (Children and Adults Services) which has made excellent progress on its improvement journey to transform the lives of the vulnerable across the County.
We are dedicated to working in partnership with others developing new ways of engaging with people in our communities who require our support, including adults, children, young people and their families to improve their outcomes by ensuring that we build resilience and work as one team.
The Performance, Outcomes & Quality Assurance service is responsible for:
- Driving strategic leadership of performance and outcomes across the Wiltshire Partnership- Producing the Adult Social Care Local Performance Account and other statutory- Providing leadership to the scrutiny process for Safeguarding across the partnership- Creating and embedding quality and effective systems across services- Ensuring any areas of practice concern are picked up and responded to appropriately- Driving improvement through all teams ensuring both Children’s Services (including Education and Skills) and Adult Social Care are always inspection ready- Oversight of, and responsibility for the delivery of high-quality multi-agency safeguarding arrangements including child protection conferences and Children in Care reviews, and multi-agency safeguarding boards.- Ensuring robust and timely performance data reporting at a national, regional and local level- Oversight and operational leadership of recording systems for Children’s, Education and Adult Services.- Ensuring that the voice of children, families and adults who access services is heard and underpins service design and delivery- Master’s Degree in relevant profession, or equivalent experience/skills- Licence / certificate / qualification required for the role.- ITQ 2 or equivalent ICT skills and abilities demonstrating significant experience in related systems..- Management qualification to level 3 or ability to demonstrate the equivalent- Strong management / supervisory experience and skills; good relationship building skills and positive experience of leading colleagues without direct management- Good knowledge and understanding of Adult Social Care legislation and awareness and understanding of Adult services/landscape.- Solid understanding of key partner stakeholders, e.g., health services, occupational therapy, voluntary sector, etc.- A track record of proven project management delivery of complex, multi-stream- Highly developed planning and organisational skills and ability to absorb and understand large volumes of new information at pace, distil this information and present it clearly and succinctly to senior managers and members.- Proven ability to manage complex relationships and experience motivating and enabling teams to deliver change across a large organisation and engaging with key stakeholders and partners.- Resilience and tenacity whilst being collaborative and respectful, but able to challenge to ensure successful outcomes.- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and- Ability to analyse performance data and identify where progress is or is not being made and raise as appropriate to ensure this is resolved.- Able to work within and implement departmental policies and- Highly developed influencing and negotiation- Substantial experience of working in local government or similar complex organisation where partnership work is crucial to deliver success.- 4 Years plus Qualified**In this role you will**:
