Project Manager - Street Lighting & Highways Electrical
Our client is a pioneering technology and manufacturing company, recognized as a leading designer, manufacturer, and installer of street furniture, signage, smart city street furniture, and electronic digital signage. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join the team of our client, based in Hayes, London. This is a permanent position with a salary range of £40-50k, depending on experience. The post holder will be responsible for managing and coordinating all on-street multi-site electrical activities undertaken by the client’s electrical operatives. These works include electrical testing, inspecting & commissioning, condition reporting, and reactive electrical repair works, delivered across a wide range of award-winning street furniture assets throughout Greater London.
You will be joining a small friendly team, working closely with a variety of skilled and experienced office-based staff, and on-street electricians. This is an ideal opportunity for those with project management experience, looking to progress in their career.
Managing a small team of highway electricians and electrical contractors.
Monitoring productivity, performance, and competency.
Monitoring and managing work against program requirements, ensuring works are completed on time.
Overseeing the completion of electrical orders and monitoring performance against KPIs.
Actively managing on-street operational compliancy of electrical operations.
Providing advice and support to highway electricians on daily activities.
Understanding the electrical requirements of several different asset types.
Adapting to accommodate ad-hoc project requirements.
Is a driven and accountable person able to drive operational performance.
Has excellent communication skills in person, and via email and phone.
Is computer literate and competent with the MS Office package.
2+ years’ experience in a project management role.
Previous experience with street lighting or electrical works on the highway (preferable).
Strong personal management skills.
2391-52 Level 3 Award - Electrical Inspection & Testing
Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition)
Current valid driving license.
Competitive salary based on skills and experience.
Working Pattern: 8 hours a day, Monday to Friday (6.Pension: company contribution of 4% to your pension.
