Role Overview

A dynamic and motivated individual to join the network team as an Apprentice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their career in the field of networking, as no previous experience is required. The successful candidate will work remotely from home but should be prepared for regular travel to various locations. A company car or cash allowance will be provided by the company.

Detailed job description

The tasks will include (but not limited to):

  • Willingness to study for, and gain Aruba certifications.
  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve networking issues.
  • Utilize communication tools to troubleshoot and resolve network-related problems.
  • Ensure timely resolution of networking issues at client sites.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to network configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Engage in continuous learning and training to enhance networking knowledge and skills.
  • Collaborate with mentors to develop a solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies.
  • Work closely with team members to contribute to the successful completion of projects.
  • Participate in team meetings and share insights to improve overall team performance.
  • Adhere to company policies, industry standards, and security protocols.

Essential Skills/Qualifications

Required skills and attributes:

  • A valid driving licence is mandatory.
  • No prior experience in networking is required, but a strong interest in the field is essential.
  • Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as needed.

Desirable Skills/Qualifications

  • Understanding of ITIL fundamentals would be beneficial
  • Any network fundamental knowledge
  • Experience of incident management
