The Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa (EMEAA)regional team, led byKenneth Macpherson, Chief Executive Officer, EMEAA,is responsible for the strategy, management, growth and profitability of IHG’s most diverse region, and performance of a portfolio of hotels in some of the world’s most exciting destinations in both mature and emerging markets.

The region operates more than 1,000 open hotelsthrough three Business Units: Europe (EUR), India, Middle East & Africa (IMEA) and East Asia & Pacific (EAPAC).

Your day to day

This role will be key in providing strategic HR Business Partnering onend to endpeople strategy for UK&I Managing Director and their leadership team. Driving the delivery of Human Resourcespriorities, operational plans and systems to support the successful performance of hotels across the division.

External focus

  • Build effective relations with franchise hotels includingmanagement companies & ownersand represent IHG anddivisionalleadership onindustry associations, boards and groups as required. Ensure effective compliance with IHGs riskframework, local policies & regulations, anddemographic trends; advises on impact to HR planningas a result ofcompetitor and market trend insights

Internal focus

  • Provide strategic partnershipacrossUK&IDivisionfor MD, leadership team,Hotel Operations colleagues, General Managersand Hotel HR Leaders by coaching forperformance, influencing the best outcomes,challenging stakeholders and delivering value. Proactively lead strategies tomaximiseoperational effectiveness within Hotels including(where appropriate)organisationaldesign,capability building with the aim to constantlyimprove workforce optimization

Team focus

  • Lead the HR team to relentlessly drive thehotel operations people agenda including talentto value, performance, succession anddevelopment planning for top talent. Play a key role together with MD and LT indriving local office engagement and acts as akey liaison to Corporate functional HRBPs atthedivisional levelor local office

What we need from you

  • External stakeholder engagement, influencing and management, with evidence of successful implementation of initiatives externally
  • Excellent interpersonal influencing & communication skills at senior leader level
  • Expert knowledge of Human Resources systems, structures, policies and processes- including influence of local employment law and employee relations experience
  • Experience of understanding and communicating strategies to customers, employees and third parties that reflect highly on the hotel brand
  • High level of business savvy, commercial awareness and issue resolution
