As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for a Literacy & Numeracy Intervention Mentor to join our close-knit team at The Grange Therapeutic School, part of Acorn Education.
The successful applicant will have to plan, implement and evaluate literacy/numeracy interventions for pupils, reporting to the SENCO. This will be done with individual pupils or small groups. experience of working with pupils and young people
an understanding of SEN
ability to quickly build relationships with challenging pupils
awareness of mental health needs of pupils and young people
To work with the SENCO to identify pupils in need of additional interventions
To plan, implement and evaluate interventions effectively with pupils. Undertake data collection, analysis, the production of reports and summaries, using appropriate IT
To keep up to date with the latest good practice in the field of interventions
The Grange Therapeutic School is an independent special school for young people aged 8 -18 years with social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Our school is based in a Victorian country house near Oakham with stunning views and fantastic facilities to develop not only the educational, but also the social and emotional needs of our pupils.
