We have an exciting opportunity for a Healthcare Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Lewes, a category B prison located in Lewes.
HMP Lewes is a male prison with a capacity for 742 inmates. We are recruiting for a Healthcare Assistant
This role is 37.5 hours per week covering Monday to Sunday.
This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £31,789 per annum - depending on experience.
Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care

NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
