We are seeking an experienced and passionate Behaviour Mentor to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students in developing positive behaviours, creating a conducive learning atmosphere, and working collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies. If you are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of students and have a proven track record in behaviour support, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity. This role is to commence ASAP or September 2024. Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges, implementing tailored behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
- Monitor and assess student behaviour, identifying triggers and implementing proactive interventions.
- Organise and lead workshops or training sessions for students, staff, and parents on behaviour management and positive reinforcement techniques.
- Act as a liaison between the school, parents, and external agencies involved in behaviour support.
- Work closely with the school leadership team to contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide behaviour policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and a proactive approach to behaviour support.
- Certification in behaviour intervention or related field is a plus
