Full time hours on a temporary basis

  • The Fairness and Equality Officer will work across the team providing support for policy, equality, and participation and engagement functions.
  • The Officer will manage projects and programmes that deliver on our strategic priorities.
  • The post holder will provide project management support to the Challenging Inequality Programme including ensuring strong governance that helps deliver the programme aims.
  • The post holder will use their robust understanding of public policy and equalities to facilitate strategic thinking, identifying emerging policy developments and supporting colleagues to remain alert to long-term risks and opportunities.
  • The Fairness and Equality Officer will provide expert advice to the organisation on equalities and in particular in relation to Equality Impact Assessments.
  • The post holder will also be expected to provide advice to services around consultation and engagement. This will include ensuring all major projects and decision are made in consultation with the community and where possible using a co-production approach.
