Group Financial Controller Location: Leicester (2 days on-site, 3 days from home) We are supporting this high growth private equity owned business based in Leicester who are seeking a new Group Financial Controller. You will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations for the UK & Ireland business. Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and high-quality reporting across all business units. This is a senior leadership role with significant influence, working closely with the wider management team to support continued growth and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a team of five finance professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Oversee the preparation and consolidation of multi-currency group financial statements in line with relevant GAAP. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting. Review and maintain monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations to uphold financial integrity. Oversee recurring tax activities including VAT, PAYE, P11D and support for Corporation Tax submissions. Support group-wide budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, with particular emphasis on Balance Sheet and Cashflow. Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory reporting requirements, acting as the key liaison for external auditors and tax advisors. Strengthen internal controls and financial governance, driving the adoption of best-practice processes. Ideally we are seeking individuals who are practice trained and have worked in industry for 3-4 years.
