Job Title: Children's Senior Practitioner - Assessment Teams

Starting Salary: £40,221 per annum plus £6,243 Market Enhancement, with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of £44,428 per annum plus £6,084 Market Enhancement + one-off £1,000 Welcome Payment
Contract: Permanent

Join us as a Children's Senior Practitioner in our Assessment Teams, and be part of an innovative authority committed to pioneering motivational social work practices. Based in Apsley, Hertfordshire, you will be at the forefront of best practices, providing exceptional support to vulnerable children and families. This role offers the opportunity to manage complex and diverse caseloads, with a focus on keeping children safely at home with their families.

Undertake single child and family assessments identified by our Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub.
Conduct strength-based assessments and ensure robust pathways for Early Help.
Promote diversity and inclusion in service delivery and within the workforce.A stimulating working environment with regular supervision and training.
A dedicated Diversity & Inclusion strategy with focus groups.

Qualified and registered social worker with significant senior level frontline experience in a safeguarding team.
Ability to drive and/or travel around the County (a DVLA check will be required upon appointment).Disability Confident: We guarantee an interview to any applicant disclosing a disability whose application meets the minimum criteria for the post.

English Fluency: The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential.

Driving Roles Only: Travel to other HCC Sites/Residences will be required. Children Services Roles Only: We expect all employees to fulfil Hertfordshire's Professional Promise for the treatment of children, young people, and their families, placing them at the centre of our services.
