Position Title : MEPS Project Purchasing Coordinator

Business Overview:

Accelera is part of the global Cummins group which encompasses all the eMobility business activities. It is a dynamic, fast moving business environment delivering new products to meet a rapidly evolving market demand.

Position Overview

This role provides support for the project development of the 17Xe ePowertrain for heavy duty vehicles. The project scope includes the development of novel high power dense motor and 6 phase inverter, to be integrated onsite into a Accelera axle design with a 3 speed transmission system. The role holder will principally support the global sourcing activities for hardware for the motor/inverter and axle development, but locally offer project coordination across of range of activities taking part both on the Cwmbran site as well as other UK sites.

Opportunities:

  • Exposure to an R&D project working to production ready maturity and dynamic market requirements
  • Purchasing and logistics Coordination of parts from global suppliers and global assembly locations
  • Involvement with technical reviews of parts design with local and global teams of engineers
  • First hand experience working within a project with key deliverables for SOP readiness by 2026
  • Working within the Centre of Excellence for eMobility in Europe for Accelera by Cummins, with a 20 strong engineering and project team.
  • Flexibility to incorporate degree course learning requirements within the role
