We are looking for an Artist Strategy Manager to join the team.

Location: Head Office, London

Job Purpose:

  • Actively engaging in an artist's growth with a hands on strategy approach will help fast track potential stars faster. And then enable us to grow the business quicker.
  • High frequency of communication is the most effective way to retain valuable artists and promote a positive reputation within the industry. (This requires dedicated team members).

Role and Context:

  • The offering of a Strategy Partner is one of our main selling points when canvassing for new clients.
  • As we onboard more artists of varying size we need to grow the team to support their strategic requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for delivering innovative Strategies for our roster of Artists.
  • For priority clients (dedicated roster) conduct weekly or bi weekly strategy meetings to carefully advise on strategic approach/release strategy, whilst monitoring progress.
  • For the wider roster, when required participate in strategic conversations, internally and externally to help guide direction of newer acts.
  • Write and deliver strategy documents to artists when required. Including (but not exclusively to) release timelines, deadline info, announcement plans.
  • Form good working relationships with external artists/managers to deliver a best in class approach to independent artist partnerships.
  • Set clear goals and deadlines for our artists in order to accurately benchmark success
  • When requested, participate in the active pitching for new artists to join our company.
  • Be informed of all cultural trends including music, content, streaming and social media to confidently participate in growing our artists' recording career.
  • Identify cultural trends that could positively impact the development of acts and business.
  • Work in partnership with the client relations team to ensure the operational requirements of artist release plans are executed effectively.
  • Construct song pitches to be used for editorial consideration at DSP’s.
  • Construct one sheet and promo materials to help maximise our artists exposure.
  • Be aware of the DSP landscape & best practice for distribution
  • Be an industry ambassador for the company to your network and beyond.
  • Actively communicate successful activity to the company and industry (where appropriate)
  • Providing detailed analysis/reports pertaining to the performance of our artists (your roster).
  • Monthly Financial Reports
  • Weekly Status Updates
  • Specific Artist Updates when required
  • Data & Analysis Reports

Dimensions:

Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Junior - Mid Level Marketing Manager at a Record Label, Music Company or Management Team
  • 3-5 years overseeing and delivering strategies for Artist Campaigns
  • Hands on Experience working directly with creative talent/artists and key stakeholders.
  • Extremely well-organised, with a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence and results
  • Communicative, innovative and passionate.
  • Data driven and creative.
  • Flexible, intuitive, and resilient
  • A proactive individual, with a keen eye for detail
  • A passion for music, creativity, innovation and culture, IS A MUST
