Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Are you a Level 4 Qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant? Best In Class are working with a school in Bradford who are on the lookout for a full time HLTA to join their team. Being a HLTA is a great way to gain Teaching Experience, without the full responsibilities that comes with being a full time class teacher. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for working to support students of different abilities in making progress within the classroom. You will have knowledge of the curriculum and different behavioural management techniques to be able to utilise and manage the classroom effectively. To be successful you will need a Level 4 HLTA Qualification or above, which will enable you to cover lessons, classes, teach when there is teacher absence. You will be expected to cover all age groups across school from Early Years to KS2 and be able to adapt your classroom management style to suit different ages and ability. The ideal candidate will:
- Be available full time
- Be a Qualified HLTA with a L4 qualification above (ECTs welcome)
- Be able to build strong relationships with students
- Exercise Strong Communication Skills and adaptable teaching presence
- An enhanced DBS that is registered to the update service
- Right to work in the UK
- Two suitable teaching or education based references covering the past two years
