Montash, in collaboration with a prominent UK consultancy renowned for executing substantial projects within the utilities sector, is in search of both a mid-level and a junior-level Data Engineer to join a burgeoning team on freelance contracts. As part of a rainbow squad, you'll engage in an agile process facilitating Data Product Delivery.

Tech

  • SQL, including analytic functions & database query performance tuning
  • Data integration tools (eg Oracle Data Integrator (ODI); Azure Data Factory/Databricks)
  • Analytics platforms (eg OBIEE/OUA and/or Power BI)
  • Powerapps
  • Cloud services (eg MS Azure; AWS; Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)

Experience

  • A track record of delivering data engineering activities including data sourcing; extract-transform-load (ETL) activities, dimension modelling; creation of/connection to APIs, & appropriate structuring/surfacing of data to meet analytical needs.
  • Delivering optimised analysis and visualisations through the appropriate platforms and toolsets.
  • Understand and adhere to agile project management principles (daily scrums; sprint planning/reviews/retrospectives). Confidently communicate and operate within dynamic teams.
  • Supporting the handover of developed solutions with clear documentation to ensure efficient knowledge transfer.
  • Maintaining good practice regarding version control. Experience of Azure or Github repos, regression/user acceptance testing & release management processes to ensure high accuracy for end users.
