This is a fantastic opportunity for an accomplished, highly motivated Development professional who is ready to learn from industry specialists and take on wider responsibility alongside a rapidly growing, fast-paced international leader.
This role can be based remotely, anywhere in the UK providing that you are flexible to travel as needed.
Responsibilities
- Originate new project opportunities to develop a pipeline of Solar PV projects across the UK
- Conduct market research and identify potential development partners
- Takes a leading position in deal structuring and commercial negotiations with local developers for the acquisition of Brownfield or Greenfield development engagements
- Negotiate terms for project acquisitions and co-development agreements
- Manage business relationships with land owners, permitting authorities, DNO’s, suppliers, regulators, off-takers, etc.
- Keeps themselves fully informed on key market development and trends in order to identify business opportunities quickly
- Work closely with senior management to develop new strategies in line with the market conditions.
Education
- BSc degree or equivalent qualifications
Requirements
- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in the following areas:
- In-depth knowledge of the UK PV and BESS development landscape and market participants.
- Proven experience with Brownfield and M&A Processes
- Solid understanding of fundamental PV and BESS investment cases and input variables.
- Ability to close deals to final close
- Fully accustomed to working in an international corporate environment, strictly following internal processes, respecting compliance policies, etc.
