Over the last 30 years we have delivered business support programmes to more than 30,000 businesses. is currently seeking a Innovation & Growth Specialist (Triage), to be the first point of contact for SME clients interested in the Innovate UK Business Growth support. Deliver light touch support to SMEs around innovation, internalisation and access to finance and funding.
Develop relationships with local and regional stakeholders to ensure regular referrals to the programme. Attend relevant networks and events across the South East to promote the programme.
Find opportunities for new leads sources, proactively work with the marketing team (internally) and local stakeholders, private entities (externally) to build pipeline of leads.
Represent Innovate UK Business Growth brand at local, regional and national events organised internally and by other partners and organisations. B2B networking, clinics and masterclasses) either as the delivery agent or as a representative of the EDGE team in order to stimulate demand and raise awareness of the programme
Research the current business support services on offer nationally and locally, maintain the business support database which captures this information so that they and other team members can use this information to provide a tailored response for all enquiries.
Ability to develop strong relationships with SMEs, stakeholders (private and public sector) and internal team members
Good level of CRM systems - Experience in administering processes and a range of databases (proficiency in Salesforce or similar it's a bonus)
Resilient and flexible with a proactive and enthusiastic attitude
A completer/finisher who takes responsibility for delivering high quality work
An excellent communicator, both verbally and written, excellent phone/video manner
Ability to demonstrate a high level of planning and organisation skills together with ability to prioritise and manage own workload to meet deadlines.
Good degree of computer literacy – proficient in MS Office and the ability to learn new software in a fast-paced delivery environment.
