Position: Head of Commercial Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)
The Head of Commercial will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies that accelerate growth and income for the company through various partnership offerings. This role involves conducting market research, leading the commercial team, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service to all partners.
Create and develop a commercial strategy that integrates multiple partnership offerings into a cohesive proposition.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify and exploit commercial opportunities (e.g., Ensure high levels of engagement with all partners, delivering agreed benefits consistently and maintaining quality service levels.
Monitor the performance of commercial activities using key metrics.
Prepare and present performance reports to senior management.
Work with the Finance and Commercial Director to set targets and budgets for the Commercial Partnerships.
Lead and inspire the commercial team, setting clear direction and accountability.
Foster a culture of continuous personal development, ensuring high performance and motivation.
Proven experience as a commercial director/head of commercial or in a relevant role.
In-depth understanding of market research methods and analysis.
Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
Evidence of continuous professional development is desirable.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, self-motivated, and deadline-driven.
Used to working in different markets with commercial awareness partnered with a strategic mindset.
A focus on developing others with a coaching and mentoring approach and a creative mindset are desirable.
Strong networker and influencer with a passion for building partner relationships at all levels.
Experience of working in a public/private sector environment is desirable.
