About the Role At an exciting time to join Score’s Engineering team, we are looking for a Product Support & Design Engineer. They shall also provide day-to-day support to the product overhaul departments including product technical and conformance issues and testing.

Lead design projects for product re-engineering and improvement, working closely with the other Engineering and Manufacture specialists to take from concept to deployment.
Provide day-to-day support to the product overhaul departments including product technical and conformance issues and testing.
Employ mechanical design engineering fundamentals to specify material selection and acceptance.
Perform engineering calculations in Mathcad to design simulations using Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Specify and validate all documentation required to build a First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) IAW ISO9001 and Check or Approval sign-offs as required.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, standards and work instructions.
Work with Drawing Office technicians to develop component and tooling drawings and perform Check or Approval sign-offs as required.
Testing & Validating prototypes and modifying designs until best version is reached
Producing Root Cause Analysis Reports
Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working, and their development

BEng (Hons) Qualification in Engineering Design / Mechanical Engineering, or HNC with considerable industry experience
Experience in mechanical product design and/or equipment maintenance and operation industries (rotating equipment and/or pressure industries preferred but not mandatory)
The individual shall have a good understanding and competency in Mechanical Engineering Theory and Practices
Problem solving and engineering experience in Oil & Gas industry
CAD modelling software experience
Planning and organising skills to include effective prioritising and resource management
Commitment to continual improvement and flexible approach to change
Design Verification
