I am recruiting for an Assistant Buyer to join a leading retailer based within their North London office. You will be responsible for assisting the product managers to understand both customer and Distribution Centre requirements across specific product categories using analysis of various information sources including sales, consumer insight, market trends, competitor info to help the team build a compelling range for customers. Providing product technical data information & support to the team
Supporting to improve new or existing products through design or the redesign of products and/or packaging, in line with company branding standards.
Monitoring competitor information, market trends, category insight and highlight to the senior team.
Proven experience as Category Assistant / Executive within a fast paced, FMCG environment preferably Food / Beverage / Non-Food grocery
Ability to interpret and analyse data from various sources.
Able to adapt swiftly in a fast paced, ever changing FMCG market.
Excellent understanding of all MS Office products including advanced Excel
