Due to our successful growth and expansion we have looking to expand the team futher to help drive the growth and are looking for someone to fulfil the newly created role of Head of Business Development. It is an exciting opportunity for someone with ambition and drive to secure profitable sales and growth in line with our company stratergy.
As Head of Business Development you will be responsible for delivery on the business targets and will work as an integral part of the sales team to own and grow the business.
You will be primarily responsible for developing contacts within the industry ranging from framework and procurement managers for large organisation through to surveyors working for private consultancy practices.
Key responsibility:
- Develop and maintain existing relationships within the existing contacts
- Cultivate new relationships to open new avenues of revenue in line with company targets.
- Deliver sales targets in both value and volume
- Ownership and development of project tracking and CRM database.
- Comply with and implement standard business procedures, including customer pricing and complaints management
- Hold an awareness of the greater business and service offer, communicating to clients and customers where applicable
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in the construction / building environment sector
- Experience of business development and account management
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Ability to build and develop relationships with clients
- Excellent judgement and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a high volume of workload and have a flexible approach
- Exceptional presentation skills – written and verbal
- Clearly and effectively communicate at all levels within and outside the organisation
- Drive to improve knowledge of industry changes and understanding

The Candidate:
You’ll need to have at least 10+ years experience in a similar role and will be expected to have strong current knowledge of the construction industry along with a strong reputation. This role is suited to a driven individual with a motivation to learn and develop.
Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of a company, including senior management/decision makers and executives.
