Full job description

We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic, and hard-working individual to join our rapidly growing interior design company based in Greenwich, London. We provide a comprehensive range of furniture and appliances to London’s property market. This is an exciting opportunity for a practically-minded individual looking for a new challenge and a rewarding career.

Salary: Up to £33,000 according to skills and experience and after successful completion of a trial period (three months).

Our daily duties will involve (but not limited to) the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and install furniture at client locations.
  • Assemble furniture according to manufacturer instructions and client specifications.
  • Ensure installations are completed to a high standard and within the scheduled timeframe.

Curtains and Blinds Fitting:

  • Measure windows and spaces accurately to ensure precise fitting.
  • Install a variety of curtain and blind types, ensuring they are secure and properly aligned.
  • Adjust and repair curtains and blinds as needed.

Customer Service:

  • Communicate effectively with clients during delivery and installation.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
  • Ensure client satisfaction with the installation process.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other team members to ensure efficient and timely installations.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in furniture installation and/or curtain and blind fitting is preferred.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to use hand and power tools safely.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment:

  • The role involves working at various client locations and in a warehouse setting.
  • Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and moving machinery.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on specific job duties.

Hours and Compensation:

This role offers a pathway to a full-time permanent position, contingent upon successfully completing a three-month trial period, based on your skills and experience. During the trial period, you will receive compensation at a rate of £13 per hour. Upon successful completion of this period, you will be offered a full-time contract.

The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, approximately 40 hours per week, starting at 9:00 am and continuing until the completion of work. Some Saturday work will also be required.
