Job Title:  DevOps Engineer
Location:  Leeds, UK (Hybrid)
Salary: £60k

Position Overview:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in enhancing our development and deployment processes. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes clusters, Docker containers, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) solutions. If you are passionate about automating processes, optimizing system performance, and collaborating with a dynamic team, this position is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure and services.
Manage Kubernetes clusters and orchestration.
Develop and maintain Docker containers.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline the software delivery process, e.g. GitLab.
Create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
Write Python scripts for automation and custom tools.
Monitor and troubleshoot system and application issues.
Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or a similar role.
Strong expertise in AWS services and solutions.
Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization technologies.
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab CI/CD.
Solid programming skills, especially in Python.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have:

AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Experience with other cloud providers (Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of other programming languages and scripting languages.
Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK Stack).
Security and compliance expertise.
