DevOps Engineer - Azure required by my client a well renowned company based in York.

The role is hybrid and will require you to be in the office twice a week.

As a Lead DevOps engineer you will manage a small team andtake joint-ownership of the cloud platform and the DevOps tools that are used to support the efficient definition, delivery and operability of the cloud infrastructure and applications. Adopting a product and agile mindset, you will actively contribute to the on-going direction, design and development of the platform, balancing the needs of its consumers with our own initiatives.

You will have proven experience of the following:


  • Experience in Senior/Lead DevOps role - minimum of 1 year

  • Managing people experience.

  • In-depth working knowledge of the Microsoft Azure Cloud.

  • Strong Windows and Linux System Administration experience including scripting and automating day to day SysAdmin and DevOps tasks.

  • Demonstrable experience in thedesign, setup and management of build / automation pipelines and tools. Terraform, Puppet or Chef is essential.

  • Demonstrable experience in driving DevSecOps principles and culture across an IT team.

  • Monitor market trends and best practices relating to DevOps, CI/CD and use of cloud services.

  • Previous experience of using the following tools - Azure CLI, PowerShell, ARM, Azure DevOps, ruby, Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Ability to set up and administer monitoring tools, Dynatrace would be an advantage.
