Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Hours: 10pm to 6:30am / Monday to Friday
Salary: £46,000 per annum - including shift allowance
Our client, a leading food manufacturing company, is seeking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Redditch. 33 days holiday per annum including bank holidays.
• Business contributes 4% towards pension and the scheme is salary sacrifice so there is a little tax benefit there.

• Carrying out corrective maintenance on plant machinery and services quickly and efficiently to ensure minimal machinery downtime.
* Performing planned maintenance as scheduled to prevent unplanned downtime.
* Effectively communicating with other engineering shifts and production supervisors regarding breakdowns and malfunctions.
* Ensuring fault logs are kept up to date and any outstanding faults are handed over to the next shift.
* Ensuring all work is compliant with Engineering department policies, procedures, and Health and Safety regulations.
* Mechanical Engineer qualification or relevant experience in a similar role.
* Previous experience in the food manufacturing industry is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in working with processing equipment, packaging equipment, conveying systems, Refrigeration and HVAC Systems, automation, and control systems.
* A proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
