My client is a forward-thinking company specializing in the design and development of electric components and solutions. With a strong focus on sustainability , they integrate cutting-edge technology and innovative engineering practices to create efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly products.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved with new product design and the development of existing product families, as well as the ongoing management of design documentation, BOMs, and engineering changes.

Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description

Perform 2D & 3D product design using CAD, adhering to all relevant internal procedures and ISO accredited processes.
Conduct VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) exercises on current product lines.
Maintain product lines using applicable engineering change procedures.
Monitor relevant standards to stay updated on any changes.
Liaise and consult with internal departments and outside suppliers.
Manage projects and time effectively.Mechanical Design Engineer
Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience in reading and obtaining information from British Standard and/or IEC documentation.
Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools, ideally Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
Experience in the development of electrical products, ideally.
Willingness to work within and communicate with an international team.
Interest in sustainability, EVs, and the Circular Economy
