Quarry Section Manager Role

Are you a Quarry Supervisor, Quarry Manager, or Plant Manager looking for your next role? We are looking for a Quarry Section Manager to join and lead our fantastic Quarrying team at Tarmac Bayston Hill Quarry site near Shrewsbury in Shropshire. At Tarmac, we value diversity and are dedicated to creating a dynamic and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and be accountable for all quarrying operations on the quarry section
  • Ensure safety and operational standards are met
  • Control costs, manage people, deliver to customer needs, and drive performance improvement
  • Ensure plant compliance with business policies and procedures
  • Enforce legislative compliance
Key Qualifications:
  • Experienced in Quarrying Operations
  • IOSH/NEBOSH certification is advantageous
  • Diploma in Quarry Technology/FdSc Extractives Technology preferred
  • Proficient in Risk Assessments and Safe System of Work Systems
  • Strong IT skills including SAP, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
