Did you know that we also build and upholster a range of Next sofas in the purpose built manufacturing facility in Armthorpe, Doncaster?

We’re looking to strengthen the team, creating a new Technical Manager role to lead the Design & Development team at Next Furniture Manufacturing. Our CAD Technicians, Development Upholsterers and Design Assistants interpret and prototype new products turning the initial design into reality.

You will be confident in managing a team and developing a culture of continuous development, collaboration and high standards.

You and your team will be responsible for the initial design review, product sampling, management of technical information and ensuring product quality & compliance.

You’ll be responsible for collaborating with the Head Office buying teams to understand their design requirements and timelines, ensuring that the requirements are achievable and leading your team to meet these objectives.

It is essential we produce every product to the highest standards, fully adhering to legal and ethical guidelines. Leading by example, you’ll have proven management skills teamed with strong technical skills in CAD/CAM software packages such as Solidworks, Lectra or Alphacam gained in a similar technical management role. Good PC literacy skills and key, notably Google Suite (sheets, docs) or MS Excel and Word.
