Contract : Permanent – Full time

 

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior Engineer, you'll be working in the Engineering team, supporting them in the day-to-day management and delivery of the structure's projects programme for the HMPF contract, assisting in and co-ordinating the delivery of completing client feasibility studies, managing the flow of preliminary/detailed design from KDS through to build on site, ensuring compliance with client requirements and TAA approvals, program co-ordination with all stakeholders and final account and as-built drawings for schemes.

  • Working closely with the Contracts Manager, Programme Manager and other project engineers planning works / inspections and completing within the determined time frame and also within the constraints of the contract to meet KPI's, Providing technical briefings to staff prior to works commencing, daily reporting to TfL on progress of all ‘live' schemes, providing updated programs to the Contracts Manager and attend internal and client meetings, attending internal and external planning update meetings for Inspections and ordered maintenance, collaborating with inspectors and engineers to update project programs
  • Date to date programme monitoring using information via emails or information from meetings ensuring EWN's and CE's are captured, identifying which activities are critical to successful delivery, keeping schemes registers up to date with information issued from client, monitoring key performance indicator's (KPI's) relevant to schemes delivery, checking Maximo for task requests / orders from client, monitoring against annual allocation and reporting monthly updates, developing design & build delivery programs for acceptance by client(s)
  • Tracking programs to ensure health and safety files are completed as per program and issue physical / scheme completion certificates as required, reviewing sub-contractor RAMs checking health and safety documentation meets Kier Groups minimum standards, delivering site investigations and preliminary, detailed design and build programs for the TfL PPD client, coordinating KDS and build program delivery, reviewing proposed SITP's, KDS design proposals with designers before submission to TfL for approval
  • Producing and completing TM drawings prior to submission with all comments addressed from stakeholders, ensuring buildability is catered for i.e., safety zones, completing and submitting S61, PAA's, PA, TTRO's and TMAN within the designated timescales set out by the client, developing investigation / build program for acceptance by TfL, Early Contractor Involvement when instructed by the client, liaising with stakeholders including but not limited to PPD, TfL buses, boroughs, Network Rail and emergency services, completing and signing off of CPPs, reviewing risk assessments and method, creating statements to undertake investigations / works on site
  • Compliance with SHEQ requirements and Tarmac / Kier safe operating procedure's, completion of site health & safety audits, constructing works in accordance with the approved design and specification, raising ENW's and CEs in a timely manner to both sub contractor's and TfL client

 

What are we looking for?

This role of Senior Engineer is great for you if:

  • You hold a HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering and SMSTS or SSSTS and CSCS card holder
  • Can demonstrate structures and highways experience, knowledge of bridge construction and RC / Chapter 8 Traffic management and Manual of Contract, with Documents for Highway Work - Specification for Highway Works, along with NEC form of contract
  • Are able to multitask and manage a portfolio of schemes / projects and hold a full driving licence to visit depots / sites
