Performance Management plays a critical role in our partners’ experience within the firm and is essential to driving high performance across the partnership. This opportunity sits within our specialist Partner Matters team, a largely talent-focused team with the primary objective to deliver a differentiated, integrated experience to all our partners, from the point they become partners in the firm, to the time they retire from the partnership. This role will play a key part in supporting one part of the team’s core portfolio – Performance and Progression. There is an opportunity for a strong Assistant Manager to join the team, focused on partner performance and progression. Working closely with the performance and progression managers, you will have key responsibilities for supporting the delivery of the partner performance experience, throughout the annual cycle, including goal setting, mid-year, and year-end performance evaluations. We are continuously working to enhance the partner’s performance experience and deliver quality outcomes. You will be involved in executing our ambitions for the partner performance experience and making sure that process updates are integrated seamlessly into our performance cycle and processes. The role requires strong and productive working relationships with stakeholders across the Business, Finance and HR and is an exciting opportunity to gain critical operational experience, working in a high performing team, with the firm’s most senior people. Reviewing and updating all performance experience guidance documentation to reflect refreshed approaches; Updating and maintaining all performance experience articles in the Partner knowledge base (Service Now), ensuring a user friendly and positive experience for our Partners; Supporting the Performance and Progression Managers with key deliverables across the performance experience (goal setting, mid-year and year-end) including stakeholder engagement, creation of presentations, updating comms and materials, ownership of Teams sites; Managing and analysing the data required to support across the partner performance experience, including the maintenance of the Partner reviewer list, ownership of year-end peering data inputs, preparation of Partner Matters peering tool for use in peering meetings and monitoring goal setting completion rates; Supporting with the delivery of the promotion process into Equity Group 1, including setting the timeline, updating comms and materials and management of the Teams site. Owning the maintenance and updates required to the Partner Performance forms (Nintex system), including close collaboration with the development team and 1:1 support for stakeholders and Partners to resolve queries; Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels, across HR, Partner Support Services, Finance, as well as across the Business including Chiefs of Staff and Business/Market leadership teams; Owning and maintaining the shared Partner Matters mailbox; Supporting the exploration and, where possible, leverage of digital solutions and AI into the performance processes; Contributing to continuous service improvement, identifying ways to streamline processes and improve the partner experience. Demonstrated capability and experience at an Advisor/ Assistant Manager level. Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and deliver quality in all work, particularly in the creation of formal and informal deliverables. In addition, being analytical and able to work with, understand and present information and data. Be professional in approach – instilling confidence that they can operate in sensitive environments with ease and handle confidential data appropriately. Demonstrate an appropriate level of commercial acumen expected of an Assistant Manager and be able to connect that to the role, our purpose, the decisions we make and the relationships that are established. Be able to work alone or part of the team and leverage resources where appropriate. Demonstrated experience in a talent-related field, such as HR, learning, talent, reward, or performance management.
