Mechanical Labourer
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday
The Mechanical Labourer supports a range of mechanical, fabrication, welding, and pipework tasks across industrial work environments. This role requires a practical, hands-on individual who can assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment.

Mechanical Work

Assist with the installation, servicing, and repair of industrial machinery, mainly within the combustion industry.
Read and work from mechanical drawings and specifications.
Help align, fit, and assemble mechanical components using hand and power tools.
Welding Assistance

Perform general welding duties such as MIG, TIG, or stick welding (coded welding an advantage).
Work from welding symbols and drawings.
Follow correct welding procedures and quality standards.

Help with threading, bending, and assembling pipes.
Support the installation of valves, fittings, and related components.
Gas Safe qualification is desirable.

Measure, cut, and prepare materials for assembly.
Carry out basic quality checks on completed work.

Experience in mechanical labouring or any related trade (fabrication, pipe fitting, welding, mechanical fitting).
~ Relevant trade certificates or training are an advantage.
~3–5 years’ experience in industrial or commercial environments preferred.
~ Strong practical, mechanical, and problem-solving skills.
~ Relevant mechanical or trade-related certificates.
~ Welding qualifications (coded preferred).
~ Valid driver’s licence.
~ Forklift licence (advantageous).
~ Experience across multiple disciplines (mechanical, welding, pipework, fabrication) is beneficial.
~ Strong focus on safety and quality.


Capable of working in confined spaces when needed.
Industrial and manufacturing settings.
May involve shift work, overtime, and periods working away from home.
Travel to different job sites may be required.
