Homeless Substance Misuse Recovery Worker

We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join the team at HMP YOI Doncaster, a Category B male prison, with operational capacity of around 1145, 200 of which are aged between 18 - 20 years old.
Join the Recovery Team and empower those whom wish to make changes in their behaviour to promote health and well-being through recovery from drugs and alcohol.
This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care.
This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts are 8:00 am - 4:00pm.
This position is full time , you’ll receive an annual salary of up to £33,510 dependent on experience.

As our new Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Carry out assessments with substance misuse patients
Manage a caseload of patients (around 40 - 50) with substance misuse needs
Assist with release and transfer, ensuring that patients receive follow on care
Help out in primary care and mental health as needed, including obs and medication
Offer advice on harm reduction, relapse prevention, SMART training etc

Our New Substance Misuse Recovery Worker Will
Have experience within Substance misuse, ideally a prison / secure environment, and ideally within a Recovery Worker / Practitioner role
Have experience of working within the substance misuse multi-disciplinary framework, which includes housing, social care, health care and mental health pathways
