I am recruiting a Maintenance and Repairs Surveyor for a leading and growing housing association. You will be pivotal in leading and overseeing property investment, service and inspection, and repair services for a designated portfolio of properties in the Darlington and Durham area. Working closely with housing teams, you'll ensure timely service delivery, property maintenance, and meeting strategy targets. Your duties involve identifying and rectifying building defects, managing project delivery, analysing property performance, identifying cost savings, and ensuring contractual compliance. The role will be home based and travelling to my clients housing stock and the day to day will include: -

  • Collaborate with operational colleagues and residents to ensure homes are safe, secure, and well-maintained.
  • Lead and manage property investment, service, inspection, and repair services for the designated property portfolio.
  • Conduct regular property condition inspections.
  • Ensure efficient delivery of necessary repairs and planned works.
  • Evaluate properties to plan future investment and repairs.
This role suits individuals who has the following experience
  • HND/HNC or equivalent in Building or Construction (essential).
  • Working towards MRICS or MCIOB status (desirable).
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in managing property activities in housing.
  • Proven experience in social housing maintenance and planned investment sectors, either Contractor Side or client side.
  • Ability to interpret operational data for service delivery planning within the property portfolio.
  • Experience in building pathology within a housing environment.
