As Shift Engineer, you will be Responsible for the performance and safety of all manufacturing equipment in line with company KPI’s and strategic projects. The most effective form of machine support can only be delivered through the understanding of the way in which equipment is operated, the machine performance and the requirements and design of the products being manufactured.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (6 am - 6 pm)

Under the direction of the Lead Engineer, the Shift Engineer will provide the best possible support to the manufacturing teams through:

Always ensure strict adherence to the Company’s Health and Safety policy, while also championing the development of quality standards and procedures. Assume accountability and responsibility for enhancing machine performance across all aspects.
Plan, execute, and deliver effective planned maintenance for all plant and facility equipment.
Promptly respond to machine faults across the site as instructed by the Lead Engineer.
Oversee the management and availability of spare machines and parts for every machine and process.
Handle the booking in and out of stored machine spares and tooling efficiently.
Participate in performance and improvement meetings as directed by the Lead Engineer.

Completed a recognized Engineering apprenticeship up to NC/HNC standard in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
Possesses working knowledge of electrical controls including PLCs, contactors, relays, inverters, etc.
Proficient in MS Office applications.
Shows ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with effective communication skills across all levels, coupled with a keen interest in and understanding of engineering principles.
Exhibits a flexible approach alongside strong organizational and time management skills.

Experienced in engineering systems, particularly in planned preventative maintenance.
Knowledgeable in Lean Manufacturing principles.
