Position Overview

As a member of our dedicated electrical testing team, you will ensure compliance with electrical standards on client sites, primarily within the water sector. Your role will involve traveling to various locations in the east and south regions.

  • Conduct thorough testing and inspection of electrical installations, generating detailed reports that outline any necessary rectification work.
  • Perform a broad range of rectification tasks as needed, including the provision of certification.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of BS 7671 requirements.
  • Work a contracted 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with compensation for overtime and travel from door to door.
  • A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided for this position.
  • All necessary tools, testing equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be supplied, along with a tablet/laptop and mobile phone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical condition assessments, rectification work, and installations in compliance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules.
  • Adhere to all relevant Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
  • Ensure that all condition reports and rectification tasks are executed to the highest standards.
  • Exemplify and promote Bridges' values in interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Encourage a culture of health and wellbeing among peers.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • ECS Gold Card
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical installation
  • Full UK driving license

Desirable:

  • Experience in water, industrial, or commercial sectors
  • City & Guilds 2377
  • PASMA / IPAF certifications
  • EUSR Card
  • Confined Space training
  • Thames Water Passport
  • Emergency first aid certification
  • Fitness to work medical
