Found in motorcycles, conveyor belts, cars, tractors, blenders, vacuum cleaners, bicycles, & 3D printers just to name a few. The District Sales Manager Automotive Replacement is responsible for driving sales and supporting Gates’ distribution partners across Northern England, Scotland, and North & South Ireland . This includes achieving revenue targets, implementing strategic initiatives, and building strong, lasting relationships with key partners, distributors, factors, and garages.
Representing Gates professionally, commercially, and technically, you will support customers in day-to-day operations, events, promotions, trainings, technical and warranty issues, ensuring the Gates brand is well-positioned, well-distributed, and widely adopted across the region.
Represent Gates professionally at all levels – commercial, technical, and operational.
Support customer activities including events, promotions, trainings, and warranty cases.
Plan and execute commercial initiatives to drive revenue growth, including stock profiling, shows, and promotional campaigns.
Familiarise customers with Gates product lines, policies, and corporate updates.
This role has no direct reports but requires influencing and supporting distributor staff, factors, and garages to drive Gates’ sales and brand presence.
Overall 5-7 years of professional experience including at least 3 years of commercial and / or technical experience in an Automotive environment.
Strong commercial and technical acumen with the ability to understand customer needs and deliver effective solutions.
Highly self-motivated and organised, with strong planning and time-management abilities.
