Acupay is a subsidiary of Euronext Securities based in New York and London specializing in international and domestic financial communications and instruction processing. As we move into new and broader markets, we expect our growth to continue and are looking for new team members who will integrate well and become part of that success.

Purpose of Role

The Acupay system administrator is responsible for technology systems administration, maintenance, monitoring, network security, and user support. This includes servers, desktops, and virtual machines. The role also works closely with the software development team as well as directly with users as well as supporting multiple online products. The role is both proactive and reactive.

The environment is a combination of on-premises, datacentre hosted, and virtual, with the bulk of the hosting in AWS. Hosting locations include London, Ireland, New York and Virginia. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot software and hardware, including virtualized servers and containers.
  • Assist in managing the company’s AWS infrastructure, including building applications and environments.
  • Assist in managing firewalls, switches, proxy servers, file servers, AWS, and other aspects of Acupay networking
  • Provide high quality support of users, including accounts, workstations, AWS Workspaces, software, resets and other technical issues. Support may be provided locally or remote.
  • Perform root cause analysis for issues and applying preventative solutions.
  • Create and monitor backups to safeguard company data.
  • Ensure information security through access controls, backups, firewalls, intrusion detection, malware and virus monitoring, vulnerability management, and by all means necessary.
  • Participate in third-party reviews such as SOC and penetration testing, as necessary.
  • Upgrade and patch systems with new releases and models.
  • Maintain technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
  • 3+ years' experience in system and/or network administration
  • System Engineer certification
  • Experience with Windows server administration and administering Windows 10/11.
  • Experience with Active Directory (DNS, GPO, etc).
  • Networking experience such as switches, firewalls, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, LAN/WAN connectivity, routers, and VPNs.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Knowledge of AWS infrastructure, including EC2 instances, routing, etc.
  • Experience with communications tools such as Slack, Zoom, Jira, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to work on your own and manage your time effectively
