Responsibilities and duties Reporting to the Design Manager you will: Oversee design processes for sustainable energy projects and ensure timescales are adhered to. Engage external contractors and consultants when needed to aid in project delivery, ensuring quality of work throughout. Assist in Town and Country planning processes. Facilitate meetings by planning, chairing, and documenting proceedings, ensuring key resolutions are captured and actions are followed up on to drive the design process forward. Provide support and guidance to other departments regarding design requirements and obligations. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and codes of practice. Ensure design quality meets company standards. Work to mitigate health and safety risks in the design and reduce financial risks during construction. Improve Design Department standards and procedures. Liaise with clients to resolve any project related issues. Assist with the preparation of HAZOP studies. Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Degree in relevant subject such as engineering, architecture, construction management, etc. 2+ years experience in a similar position in a relevant industry such as energy or building services. Full UK driving license Background in Mechanical, Electrical, Design, or technical fields advantageous but not essential. Understanding of construction projects and familiarity with RIBA work stages. Proficiency in software including AutoCAD and knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM). Personal skills The Project Coordinator role would suit someone who is: Willing to travel to different sites across the UK when needed. Excellent organisational and planning abilities, adept at managing tasks and timelines effectively. Exceptional communication, motivational, and leadership skills. Demonstrates flexibility in tasks, sets high performance standards, and welcomes feedback for continuous improvement.
