We have a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years Teaching Assistant in an Early Years setting near Corby, Northamptonshire. This is a full time, permanent position. Very competitive rates of pay. Main duties and responsibilites: To work in the babyroom, toddler room or pre-school room, providing support to children aged 0-4; to ensure the needs of every child are met; to work as part of a team to deliver an ambitious and flexible curriculum, which is driven by the children's interests and curiosity; to have an excellent knowledge of child development in order to accurately observe and assess children. Operational responsibilities: To ensure, through good practice, that the Nursery consistently meets the requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage to a minimum 'good' standard; to maintain regular staff supervisions; to ensure that all policies and procedures of the Nursery are adhered to. As a minimum, an NVQ Level 2 qualification in childcare is required, and at least 6 months experience in an Early Years setting. The position is subject to two satisfactory employment references and a DBS check.
