Our Client
Our client is an established Private Bank that operates on a global level.
The Role
The Product Risk Manager will work closely with the Front Office Portfolio Management team acting as part of the First Line of Defence, ensuring appropriate Investment and Regulatory compliance across Investment Products and Portfolios, and constructing and maintaining relationships with important stakeholders to achieve this.
The Product Risk Manager will require Wealth Management or Private Banking product knowledge and will confidently be able to provide constructive challenge to the business, governance committees, and second line of defence.
The Product Risk Manager is responsible for investigating and establishing key issues and causes in respect of the design and process of the UK Investment product offering.
The Product Risk Manager will commit and prepare analysis on areas of financial regulations when required by the business and will apply their own compliance regulatory knowledge in the improvement of existing offering as well as representing the UK in regulatory change projects.
The Product Risk Manager will carry out controls keeping in line with the Private Bank’s management framework.
The Product Risk Manager is to develop realistic recommendations to address any issues, working alongside compliance and other business-related areas ensuring all relevant actions are put in place in a timely manner.
The Product Risk Manager is expected to report any findings to compliance and executive management concisely.
The Product Risk Manager will monitor all recommendations from start to finish and escalate any inaccuracies or delays. You will make certain that systems, controls, and arrangements in place always remain successful for the Wealth Management products and business.
The Candidate
3-5 years minimum Experience in Product Governance, Risk Management Compliance, Investment Monitoring or Compliance regulatory change within Wealth Management or Private Banking is ESSENTIAL
A good understanding of wealth management or private banking products.
Great communication skills both written and verbally and ability to work with senior stakeholders.
IT literate in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.
Excellent planning, organising and prioritising skills with the ability to work under pressure.
