Head of Academic Support (SENCo) - Independent College, South Kensington

An esteemed independent college in South Kensington is looking for a dedicated Head of Academic Support (SENCo) to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for an experienced SENCo ready to lead and enhance our Special Educational Needs (SEN) offerings, starting September 2024.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically develop and manage SEN policy as the SENCo.
  • Provide professional guidance as SENCo, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies.
  • Oversee the effectiveness of SEN interventions and lead SENCo-led staff training sessions.
  • Collaborate with various departments to integrate SEN strategies, ensuring a holistic approach to student support.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a SENCo, supporting and teaching students aged 14+ with SEND, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong communication skills, a passion for knowledge-sharing, and the capability to implement diverse teaching strategies.
  • Leadership qualities and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
