We’re on the lookout for a visionary leader from the marketing, advertising, and media industries to take on the volunteer role of Joint CEO. If you’re passionate about driving inclusion and equality, this is the perfect role for you.

We’re looking for an experienced senior professional with a strong leadership track record and robust industry connections to work alongside the incumbent Joint CEO.

Who You Are:

  • You’re currently working or recently worked in the marketing, advertising and/or media industries and are a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
  • You’re a senior professional in your field and have proven leadership experience that you are looking to develop further.
  • You’re a natural leader and a confident and experienced speaker/presenter.
  • You’re a seasoned networker and relationship builder with good ties across the industry and beyond.
  • You're a passionate advocate for all things LGBTQIA+ inclusion and are driven by a desire to do more to support the community.
  • You’ll likely have other volunteer/non-profit experience to bring to the table and are well-equipped to hit the ground running in this pivotal role.
  • You’re in a position to commit to 1 day a week/40 hours a month, which you’re able to work around your professional and personal commitments.

What You'll Do:

  • Set the strategic direction – maintaining the organisation’s focus on its mission; setting and driving the annual strategy and budget in partnership with the incumbent Joint CEO.
  • Co-lead the team –build, maintain and motivate a focused and high-performing team of volunteers.
  • Be Outvertising’s public voice – as a speaker and spokesperson, leading Outvertising’s key messaging, point of view and industry share of voice.
  • Crisis and reputation management - externally and internally.
  • Collaboration – with Management Board on key workstream projects; with Non Exec Board on governance and policy.
  • Relationships – build alliances across the advertising and marketing industry with other like-minded groups and queer-sector organisations.
  • General : co-chair Management Board meetings; attend 3 Non Exec Board meetings annually; commit to 3-year tenure.
