As the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager, you will lead the Procurement & Supply Chain to execute timely, cost effective purchasing of production and consumable materials within the scopes and policies determined.

To be successful in this position you will have/be;

  • Significant relevant experience within a progressive manufacturing environment
  • Demonstratable management skills that ensure supply chain alignment across the wider business, which empowers and motivates while inspiring confidence and respect from others
  • Effective time management skills and adept at multitasking and changing priorities
  • Broad commodities expertise and knowledge relevant to aerospace seat build, including soft trim, fabrics, packaging, consumables, fasteners, machining, extrusions forming, composites and plastic
  • Relevant experience in the negotiation and implementation of legal contracts relating to purchase agreements, long-term agreements and specific vendor-managed inventory agreements
  • Conversant with ERP/MRP systems and inventory control processes
  • Good interpersonal skills are necessary to deal at the highest levels of commercial supplier organisations to influence internally and negotiate externally with suppliers
  • Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, VA/VE, problem-solving tools and components of a lean/ continuous improvement work environment
  • Ability to present data effectively at all levels of the business
  • Excellent Commercial acumen
  • Five years experience in a similar supply chain role within manufacturing (preferably aerospace)
  • Builds positive working and collaborative working relations with direct reports and peer groups
  • Proven ability to make business decisions based on quantitative data and weigh alternative solutions
  • A clean and current driving licence is required, with occasional requirements for business travel
  • The requirement to work outside of core hours is dependent on business needs
  • CIPS accreditation or relevant related degree dependent on industry experience
