  • Provide advice to colleagues on network security and best computer usage practices.
  • Update the SLA tracker/log with key information such as time to respond, duration open, time closed, risk level, priority, and any ongoing requirements.

Server and System Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance and availability.
  • Perform regular system updates and patches.

Network Administration

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Install, configure, and monitor wireless network systems.
  • Maintain network security measures, including firewalls and VPNs.

  • Conduct regular security audits.

Backup and Disaster Recovery

  • Manage backup strategies to ensure data integrity.
  • Perform regular backups and test disaster recovery plans.
  • Restore data and systems in the event of hardware or software failures.

  • Follow and maintain internal processes belonging to the IT department.
  • Contribute to internal processes that affect the IT team.
  • Ensure sufficient team coverage during workshops or annual leave, completing full handovers of technical queries and communicating who is covering during any absence.
